Windows FAQ

Price depends on the specification and size of your chosen window style. To receive an accurate quotation, please call us on xxxx xxx xxxx or submit a request and we will put you in touch with your local Eurocell installer.

Eurocell has a network of fabricators and installers around Ireland. We can advise you on the nearest suitable for your needs.

Who will install the windows? Most window companies will offer a supply and install service. Those that don't will be able to put you in touch with experienced, professional installers.

Yes! Modern double-glazed windows have much thicker glass units than windows of 10 years ago. This cuts down noise transfer, so you hear less noise inside your home, for a more peaceful, relaxing lifestyle!

No, you shouldn’t have to move out of your home while your new windows are being installed. Reputable installation companies will be able to complete the task quickly and efficiently. They normally complete one room before moving onto the next and will talk to you first to explain exactly what is involved.

Exact time depends on the number and style of windows. But as a general rule, a whole house (8-10 windows) should be fitted in 2-3 days. Your window supplier should carry out a full survey before the new windows arrive and will therefore know the extent of work required.

Carrying out the survey also means they will have manufactured all the replacement windows to the exact size needed to replace the old frames – again minimising time on site.

Your window supplier should be able to deal with the old windows. If they're made from PVC-U then they can be sent to a recycling facility where they are used to make new energy efficient products. Eurocell has its own PVC-U recycling plant.

Most companies offer 10 years on frames (Eurocell offers 12 years on its Modus windows) and 5 years on glass. This is what you should expect.

Some minor plaster work may be required around the window reveals, although your installer should carry out this work.

Yes, you will need to remove these to allow the installer clear access to the windows

Yes, they will need access to both the exterior and interior of your house to carry out window replacements. A reputable installer will make these arrangements with you and ensure that any mess is cleared away when the job is finished.

We get asked this a lot, so we've produced a buying guide on the subject. To read or download it, click here.

Normally, a soft cloth and warm soapy water is all that is required to remove dirt and grime. If you want a professional quality finish, specialist PVC-U cream cleaner is available to buy from all Eurocell branches nationwide.

Abrasive cloths and solvents should never be used to clean PVC-U, as they will damage the surface finish of the profile.

Doors FAQ

Price depends on the specification and size of your chosen door style. To receive an accurate quotation, please call us on xxxx xxx xxxx or submit a request and we will put you in touch with your local Eurocell installer. For a composite entrance door quotation, simply design your door using our simple configurator and we will come back to you with a price!.

Entrance doors can be fitted within a day, which means your home remains secure. The installer may need additional time to complete the final adjustments.

Not normally. The Dales Collection of composite doors can be made to a wide range of sizes, so most entrance door sizes can be accommodated. The same is true for French, patio and bi-fold lifestyle doors.

The majority of homeowners change the frame at the same time as the door. That's because timber frames are often the first to fail, either because of rot or the fixing into the wall work loose over time. Also, changing both the frame and the door allows you to specify security features. Changing the frame also means you are free to choose a new colour and the installer can fit insulation around the frame to improve thermal performance and eliminate draughts.

Externally beaded windows are less commonly installed these days, because they can potentially be removed from the outside of the property. Therefore to restrict the potential of burglar access we recommend the installation of internally beaded high performance UPVC windows.

Conservatories FAQ

Price depends on the specification and size of your chosen style of conservatory. To receive an accurate quotation, please call us on 1890 989 071 or submit a request and we will put you in touch with your local Eurocell installer.

Many types of door suit a conservatory, including French doors and sliding patio doors. For a really striking effect you can choose a folding sliding bi-fold door, which allows you to open up your conservatory for stunning views onto your garden.

Your conservatory supplier should be able to carry out all the building work required to complete your conservatory. Always make it clear at the quote stage exactly what service you require.

Reputable suppliers won’t require upfront payment. However, it is acceptable for a company to ask for a deposit, but always check with the references they provided before paying anything.

Yes! You can replace your existing conservatory roof and replace it with our brilliant Equinox tiled roof system. For more details look through our Equinox tiled roof system pages here.
